Ralph Tresvant, also known as Rizz-Wa-Faire, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, born on May 16, 1968, in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the R&B boy band New Edition.
Tresvant started his music career at a young age, singing in local talent shows and joining the group New Edition in 1978, when he was only ten years old. New Edition became one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1980s, with hits such as "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," and "Mr. Telephone Man."
In 1990, Tresvant released his solo debut album, self-titled Ralph Tresvant, which spawned the hit singles "Sensitivity" and "Do What I Gotta Do." He also contributed to the soundtrack of the movie "Mo' Money" with the song "Money Can't Buy You Love."
Tresvant continued his music career in the 1990s, releasing two more solo albums and reuniting with New Edition for several tours and albums. He has also dabbled in acting, appearing in movies such as "House Party 2" and "Boomerang."
In recent years, Tresvant has continued to perform and tour with New Edition, as well as working on new music as a solo artist. He is also active on social media, sharing updates with his fans and posting nostalgic throwback photos from his career.
